Microscope head
Highly stable imaging system that provides a live view of the cold chip under test.

The microscope is the seeing eye of our system. It consists of a microscope head mounted outside and an objective lens mounted inside (if needed) the cryostat. The microscope head is equipped with an LED, a camera, focus control, as well as a two-axis high-stability tilt control. The field of view depends on the length of the optical path inside the cryostat. We select the optical elements to match your needs.
Imaging system
The microscope consists of three parts: the microscope head on top of the cryostat, an optical window in the vacuum flange, and a focusing lens installed inside the cryostat.
Illumination
The microscope uses coaxial illumination which minimizes stray light and results in an evenly illuminated image. We also choose an illumination that does not lead to charge accumulation on the chip, which prevents device damage when moving into contact.
Field of view
The optical components of the microscope are selected to match the cryostat setup. The typical field of view is in the range of 1-4 mm (with a clear aperture of 25.4 mm).
